Translated subtitles for your video ads

Plenty of people watch ads with the sound off. Add burned-in subtitles in the viewer’s language, over the original voice or a dubbed one, and check every line before you export.

How subtitling works

Subtitle a video ad
  1. 1. Upload your video ad

Add an MP4, MOV or WebM file of up to 3 minutes. The speech is transcribed for you.

  2. 2. Choose subtitles or a dub

Subtitle over the original voice or over a dubbed one, then pick a caption style.

  3. 3. Preview, generate, download

Preview the captions on your footage for free, generate, then correct any line.

Video subtitles

Subtitles people can read at feed speed

A dub or subtitles, language by language

Some audiences expect a voice in their language, others are used to subtitles. Decide for each language rather than for the whole campaign.

Line lengths that suit the language

Each language has its own reading speed and line length, so long German and Finnish words break onto a new line sooner.

Questions about this workflow

Can I add subtitles without dubbing the video?

Yes. Choose subtitles only: the original voice stays and translated subtitles are burned in.

Can I see the subtitles before I pay for them?

Yes. The captions preview shows the style and position on your own footage and costs nothing.

How do I correct a subtitle?

Edit the script before you generate, or open the finished version, fix the line and generate that language again.

What does a subtitled version cost?

Subtitles over the original voice cost 0.1 credits a second for each format, so a 30-second ad in one format is 3 credits.
